Add addresses

Paste addresses, one per line, or cells copied from a spreadsheet (url, source, medium, campaign, id, content, term). The rows use the common values wherever their own cells are empty.

Bulk UTM Builder: Tag Many Links at Once

Add UTM parameters to a whole list of links in one go. Paste the addresses, set the source, medium and campaign once, and get a tagged link for every row, ready to copy or to download as a CSV file. It is meant for the cases where one link at a time is too slow: a newsletter with dozens of links, a campaign with many landing pages, a list from a spreadsheet. Everything happens in your browser: your addresses are never uploaded. For a single link use the UTM Link Generator.

How to use it

1. Set the common values. Pick a traffic source (Google Ads, Meta, newsletter and others), or type your own source, medium and campaign. They are used in every row whose own cell is empty, so changing them changes all the links at once. A value typed into the cell of a row is used for that row only. "Write into every row" copies the common values into all the cells, replacing what the rows have.
2. Add the addresses. Paste a list into the box (one address per line, or cells copied from a spreadsheet), import a CSV file, or type into the table.
3. Check the result. Each row shows its link and a mark: green when it is fine, yellow when something should be fixed (a missing source or medium, capital letters, a link longer than 2000 characters, the same link in two rows), red for an address that cannot be used. "Show only rows with problems" hides the rest.
4. Take the links. "Copy all links" puts one link per line on the clipboard, "Copy table" copies the table for a spreadsheet, "Download CSV" saves a file.

The table and the CSV file

Each row has its own address and its own values, so one table can hold several campaigns. The columns are url, source, medium, campaign and, under "Show id, content and term columns", id, content and term. A CSV file for import may have a header line with these names (also utm_source and so on, keyword for term, in any order); without a header a file is read as a list of addresses, one per line, unless the cells are separated by tabs or semicolons (then the columns are taken in the order above). A comma does not split a headerless line, because addresses often contain one. The separator (comma, semicolon or tab) is found by itself, and quotes and line breaks inside cells are read as the CSV standard says. Cells copied from Excel or Google Sheets can be pasted straight into the table. A file that you downloaded can be imported again.

The downloaded CSV has the address as you typed it, the tagged link, the values of the six UTM parameters, and a column that says what is wrong with the row. The file has no byte order mark (BOM), which is what scripts, databases and most programs expect. If you open it in Excel and Cyrillic or other non-Latin letters look wrong, tick "Add a byte order mark (BOM)" before downloading: Excel then reads the file as UTF-8.

Placeholders for your own templates

A value may contain placeholders that are filled in separately for each row:

• {n} the number of the row in the table (1, 2, 3...);
• {domain} the site of the address without www (example.com);
• {slug} the last part of the path without its extension (spring-sale for /blog/spring-sale.html, home for the main page);
• {date} today's date as 2026-10-04.

For example, the campaign promo_{slug} gives promo_spring-sale for one link and promo_new-arrivals for another. The placeholders of the ad platforms, such as {keyword} or {campaignid}, are left alone. To reuse your values, type a name next to "Save" and press the button: your sets are kept in this browser only and can be chosen again from the list.

The rules of the cleaning

They are the same as in the UTM Link Generator: values are made lowercase (analytics tools treat Google and google as different values), Cyrillic letters are transliterated, spaces become underscores or dashes, and characters that do not belong in a value are replaced. These options can be changed under "Options". An address that already has UTM parameters keeps them in the cells you left empty and gets your values in the others. An address without https:// gets it.

Limitations

• Up to 1000 rows at a time; the rest of a longer list is cut and the page says so.
• Only http and https addresses; addresses with a user name or password are refused.
• A CSV file is read as UTF-8; if it is not UTF-8 (Excel often saves "CSV" in the code page of Windows), it is read as windows-1251, which suits Cyrillic. Save the file as "CSV UTF-8" if letters look wrong.
• The table is not saved: close the page and it is gone. Download the CSV file to keep the work.
