Emoji Translator: Translate Text to Emojis and Emojis to Text

Paste an English text, and the words that have an emoji are translated: "I love my cat and pizza" becomes "I ❤️ my 🐱 and 🍕". You can also keep the words and put the emoji after each of them, or go the other way and write the names of the emojis in a message you received. Everything happens in your browser: nothing you write is uploaded.

How to use it

1. Choose what to do: replace the words with emojis, put an emoji after the words, or write the names of the emojis.
2. Type or paste the text in the left box. The result appears at once in the right box.
3. Press Copy and paste the result into Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or an email.
4. To translate the result back, press "Use the result as the text": the result goes to the left box and the direction turns round.

What is translated

The dictionary has the words that stand for one clear emoji: animals, food, places, objects, countries (the flag) and many everyday words such as "love", "birthday" or "thank you". The common forms of a word are found too: "cats", "kisses", "loved", "stopped". A word with several meanings gets the most usual emoji, and words with no good picture are left as they are.

The names of the emojis

In the mode "Emoji to text" each emoji is written with its name from the Unicode standard. Choose how: in brackets (red heart), as plain words, or as a code :red_heart: like in Slack and Discord. The emojis that are not in the list are left as they are, and their number is shown.

Limitations

• The words are English, and so are the names of the emojis.
• It translates the words one by one, not the meaning of a sentence, so the result is good for fun and for a short post, not for a serious text.
• Links, e-mail addresses, #hashtags and @mentions are not changed.
• Only the emojis up to Emoji 14.0 are used for the text, so that most phones can show them.
• The text is kept only in this browser. If you clear the data of the site, it is gone.
• To pick an emoji by hand use the emoji picker, and to remove emojis from a text use the emoji remover.
